During this electoral campaign, both of the candidates
discuss, debate about many subjects like : security, economy... But among those subjects, they didn’t talk
a lot about Europe.
Still now, in relationship Europe has always been the
first partner of United State of America.
But either candidate in his international policy is especially talking about
China, which consider like a real economic opponent. Why China? In fact
actually with the crisis, many companies have been relocated in China, which
can explain the increase of jobless in USA. Since then, the US government hasn’t
really stopped unemployment even if he applied many reforms for it. Both of the
candidates have understood the best average to win that election is forget for
a few moment international policy, because the United State of America is
crossing by an important crisis since 2008, when Mitt Romney tries to introduce
Europe into the campaign, suddenly it’s for present it like a bad example, he
often present Spanish crisis like “dangerous” example for America. Romney
strategy is to stereotype Europe. On the other hand Barack Obama thinks through
the G8’ Summit it’s possible to resolve that debt crisis.
However, Mitt Romney tried to attack his challenger
underlining the fact his policy on differential taxation can incites some enterprise
relocate in China. But, unfortunately about relocation, it’s so difficult for
the businessman Mitt Romney to accuse the President Obama, because most of his
own companies have been relocated in China, and according part of American
citizen, it isn’t a good behavior for someone who wants to run America.
That doesn’t mean in that campaign, there isn’t any
time in while they showed their differences about international
relationship. Among the cases of which they
talk there are; Syrian crisis, Israel, Libya and Iran. Knowing those
difficulties, Romney’s strategy is clearly not talk about foreign policy, for
example we can analyze how he behaved during the third Presidential debate
against his challenger: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG7Px3vVqDk.
Finally, in this context the foreign policy can’t
influence the election that explains why either candidate forgets it.

Dear Mykha,
RispondiEliminaI agree with what you wrote in this post.
Probably, as has already happened in previous elections, the issue of foreign policy will be secondary, especially respect the economy.
I think it is serious that the two presidential candidates have not discussed the relationship with Europe, that is an important ally.
The European crisis in particular has been almost completely ignored if you exclude some negative references to Spain.
As stated in the link above “European crisis does not merit a word at debate” and “Obama, Romney ignore two-thirds of the world”.
It’ s important to remember that in recent years the U.S foreign policy had a vision with themselves at the center of the world: U.S even in a difficult time like now, surely feel themselves as the “indispensable nation”, as said Madeleine Albright, secretary of State under President Bill Clinton.

Good post Mykha - just one thing is not clear - did BOTH candidates talk about China or NEITHER candidate?
RispondiEliminaAlso, be careful with punctuation, it will make the text easier to read.
